- Placebo est un groupe de rock créé en 1994 aux accents mélancoliques et romantiques exacerbés. 2005 et 2006 ont été des années très riches en collaborations puisque Brian a pu apparaître aux côtés de Jane Birkin, Timo Maas et Indochine et que Stefan a apporté son soutien à un certain nombre de groupes suédois, parallèlement à son projet personnel:Hotel Persona. Placebo a également participé à une compilation en souvenir de Serge Gainsbourg. La préparation d'un album personnel de Steve est annoncée et s'intitulerait Ancient B.
Placebo are an alternative rock band consisting of Brian Molko (vocals, guitar), Stefan Olsdal (bass) and Steve Hewitt (drums). The band was founded in London in 1994 when the three old school friends met and decided to form 'Ashtray Heart'. Placebo was founded when former Luxembourg schoolmates Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal met by accident at South Kensington tube station in 1994 and decided to form a band. While briefly known as Ashtray Heart, the band quickly settled on the name Placebo.
